Africa Unite Party ( A.U.P.) was registered on the 7th March,2014 at the Independent Elections Commission ( I.E.C)offices in Pretoria, South Africa.It is not only Africa's newest political party but it is the only purely Africanist party in existence today. The vision of the AUM (Africa Unite Movement) is to establish good,ethical and accountable governance across the entire continent.
The party founder and current president is Mr. Robin Denton who is based in Johannesburg, South Africa and is himself an ex- anti apartheid and human rights activist. The mission of the party was made clear in an interview with the SABC (South African Broadcasting Corporation) whereby it was stated that the party would be highlighting the high levels of extreme violence in South Africa, unemployment and corruption. The party describes itself as a pragmatic movement that has its sights not only on South Africa - but the entire continent of Africa. It claims over 100 000 supporters and will be contesting in elections throughout the country.
It is currently challenging the ruling of the IEC to pay a large deposit to run in the elections in the constitutional court.
